This poem touched me so deeply when I read it.... it pierces right through the Heart. I love to share it with you. The way to Heal Oneself is so multifaceted and simple, and reflects the deep longing of the Heart. May we live in courage and be true to ourselves. I love to share it with you also...... LOVE and Peace!
Here it is:

It doesn't interest me what you do for a living
I want to know what you ache for
and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing.

It doesn't interest me how old you are
I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool
for love
for your dreams
for the adventure of being alive.

It doesn't interest me what planets are squaring your moon...
I want to know if you have touched the center of your own sorrow
if you have been opened by life's betrayals
or have become shrivelled and closed
from fear of further pain.

I want to know if you can sit with pain
mine or your own
without moving to hide it
or fade it
or fix it.

I want to know if you can be with joy
mine or your own
if you can dance with wildness
and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your
fingers and toes
without cautioning us to
be careful
be realistic
to remember the limitations of being human.

It doesn't interest me if the story you are telling me
is true.
I want to know if you can
disappoint another
to be true to yourself.
If you can bear the accusation of betrayal
and not betray your own soul.

If you can be faithless
and therefore trustworthy.

I want to know if you can see Beauty
even when it is not pretty
every day.
And if you can source your own life
from its presence.

I want to know if you can live with failure
yours and mine
and still stand on the edge of the lake
and shout to the silver of the full moon,

It doesn't interest me
to know where you live or how much money you have.
I want to know if you can get up
after a night of grief and despair
weary and bruised to the bone
and do what needs to be done
to feed the children.

It doesn't interest me who you know
or how you came to be here.
I want to know if you will stand
in the center of the fire
with me
and not shrink back.

It doesn't interest me where or what or with whom
you have studied.
I want to know what sustains you
from the inside
when all else falls away.

I want to know if you can be alone
with yourself
and if you truly like the company you keep
in the empty moments.

I'm crazy abt Buddha from my school time. I won't call it as pious towards Him. Its affection n love I feel. I pray Medicine Buddha mantra for my colleagues and friends by touching them. And surprisingly they became good. No pain. One experience I wud like to share: One of my madam, heart patient had been treated before so many years. She sometimes overcome pain. Once after I joined job she had one side full pain. I couldn't resist myself to see her suffering. So I said her I'll pray for her and called nearby r oom. I touched her one side and prayed beloved Bhaishgyaguru mantra. To surprise she never had that pain after it. I always want to cure them. Though I didn't like that madam that day, liking is diff. Even though our enemy suffers we have to help them to cure. So throwed away hatredness and prayed. Because only a painful person know others pain. I am a spinal patient now. Even it pains for me I never think to pray Him for my pain. Selfishness shud be avoided, right? I've one wish to see Him by going to Temple. Don't know when He ll make me to see Him....! Love u dr Buddha. So many things to share with u all. But couldn't make it possible now. Will chant both His long and short version mantra.

I was looking for peace and clarity... and then read the words above and they had an amazingly retrospective yet calming effect on me... Thank you for sharing....

Reciting the Medicine Buddha Mantra brings me to the experience like when I read some of Rumi's precious words. For example, “let the beauty you love be who you are.” This deeply touches me with an amazing heartfelt experience. Creating a state of mind free of expectations or outcome. Chanting mantra brings me unconditional surrender allowing me to find my true being.

“Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” -Rumi

I received her book as a gift when it was new - powerful lady with powerful words. She has a place in my bookcase even today, after all of the book shelf cleansing that moving house requires.

Authenticity is what it's all about.

Having Chanted the Medicine Buddha Mantra for many years for many people, I must say we have had such wonderful results with this powerful mantra.
This mantra and the blessings of the Medicine Buddha has been a continued flow of grace for us such mysterious ways. This healing power has been and will continue to be the center of the healing mandala in my life and in so many lives touched by the Blue divine light of well being and support for all. This website is a HUGE BLESSING.

My experience is that when I live with the effort not to disappoint "another", still I may disappoint another. So the outcome may be the same.. but living from the heat (inner voice) makes life much more relaxed and open spaces that are bountless in possibility.

Regularly the word 'Tayata' comes up in my mind: 'Do it like This'..... wondering: what does it mean: 'This'?
Then I met the laughing buddha. He is a physical therapist and he laughs a lot while he treats me on a frosen shoulder.
I just understood that most therapists didn't like to have me as their patient, because the right treatment hurts a lot. He confirmed immediately that most of his collegues are too soft. And keeps laughing in mobilising the unmovable part. And I laugh too -so to say, when I am not blowing- looking in the mirror. In the mirror, again.

Yes, this is a mind-blowing statement, isn't it? The Great Wisdom in living from the Heart (to be true to yourself), is that you come to see that there is no one really to disappoint..... and I found that I was the only one that was suffering a life in compromise. I have hurt (confused) more by compromise that by being truthful...... everyone is relieved in the long run by a sincere heart, I learned.

'I want to know if you can
disappoint another
to be true to yourself'
This is really difficult for me but also a fantastic experience, there is so much healing in it and so much space for Creation and so much freedom. Thank God.
