WonderingQuestions and Answers (Q&A)

Wondering about what this circle does, for everyone, not only for the one's on the receivinglist, but also for the ones who bring in people's names to recite for. I feel lucky, gratefull, yes really blessed, to have my name on both lists.
What I am wondering now is this: most of the names are brought in without the family name, without initials: most of the time we mention only the first name and country of the ones whom we recite for. This gives to me a notion of conscious anonymity. Do we consider something delicate here, even secret? If yes, what is it, that is so delicate, secret ( or should I say: sacred? )

The Buddha's Words on Kindness (Metta Sutra)

This is what should be done
By one who is skilled in goodness,
And who knows the path of peace:
Let them be able and upright,
Straightforward and gentle in speech.
Humble and not conceited,
Contented and easily satisfied.
Unburdened with duties and frugal in their ways.
Peaceful and calm, and wise and skillful,
Not proud and demanding in nature.
Let them not do the slightest thing
That the wise would later reprove.
Wishing: In gladness and in saftey,
May all beings be at ease.
Whatever living beings there may be;
Whether they are weak or strong, omitting none,
The great or the mighty, medium, short or small,
The seen and the unseen,
Those living near and far away,
Those born and to-be-born,
May all beings be at ease!

Let none deceive another,
Or despise any being in any state.
Let none through anger or ill-will
Wish harm upon another.
Even as a mother protects with her life
Her child, her only child,
So with a boundless heart
Should one cherish all living beings:
Radiating kindness over the entire world
Spreading upwards to the skies,
And downwards to the depths;
Outwards and unbounded,
Freed from hatred and ill-will.
Whether standing or walking, seated or lying down
Free from drowsiness,
One should sustain this recollection.
This is said to be the sublime abiding.
By not holding to fixed views,
The pure-hearted one, having clarity of vision,
Being freed from all sense desires,
Is not born again into this world.

How to tell peopleSuggestions

One adviced me to use the books of Masaru Emoto to tell people about the power of the mantra.Indeed it worked like that. The photo's of the watercrystals are so evident, that the people's ears opened up.Love and Appreciation.......I left the book with them, at their workingplace for a few days. With some of the little cards.Mostly I suggest people to put the name of their people on the site. That the power of the singing will do its work for the people on the list.

LOVE IS DEEP LIKE THE COSMIC OCEANExperiences

This poem touched me so deeply when I read it.... it pierces right through the Heart. I love to share it with you. The way to Heal Oneself is so multifaceted and simple, and reflects the deep longing of the Heart. May we live in courage and be true to ourselves. I love to share it with you also...... LOVE and Peace!
Here it is:

It doesn't interest me what you do for a living
I want to know what you ache for
and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing.

It doesn't interest me how old you are
I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool
for love
for your dreams
for the adventure of being alive.

It doesn't interest me what planets are squaring your moon...
I want to know if you have touched the center of your own sorrow
if you have been opened by life's betrayals
or have become shrivelled and closed
from fear of further pain.

I want to know if you can sit with pain
mine or your own
without moving to hide it
or fade it
or fix it.

I want to know if you can be with joy
mine or your own
if you can dance with wildness
and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your
fingers and toes
without cautioning us to
be careful
be realistic
to remember the limitations of being human.

It doesn't interest me if the story you are telling me
is true.
I want to know if you can
disappoint another
to be true to yourself.
If you can bear the accusation of betrayal
and not betray your own soul.

If you can be faithless
and therefore trustworthy.

I want to know if you can see Beauty
even when it is not pretty
every day.
And if you can source your own life
from its presence.

I want to know if you can live with failure
yours and mine
and still stand on the edge of the lake
and shout to the silver of the full moon,
"Yes."

It doesn't interest me
to know where you live or how much money you have.
I want to know if you can get up
after a night of grief and despair
weary and bruised to the bone
and do what needs to be done
to feed the children.

It doesn't interest me who you know
or how you came to be here.
I want to know if you will stand
in the center of the fire
with me
and not shrink back.

It doesn't interest me where or what or with whom
you have studied.
I want to know what sustains you
from the inside
when all else falls away.

I want to know if you can be alone
with yourself
and if you truly like the company you keep
in the empty moments.
